Traditional Kung Fu in Silver Spring
Traditional Kung Fu for Silver Spring residents, about 6 miles away from our school in Kensington.
Looking for traditional kung fu in Silver Spring? Shaolin Hung Fut Kung Fu School teaches traditional kung fu to Silver Spring students of every age, about 6 miles away in Kensington — an easy trip from Downtown Silver Spring and Forest Glen Metro. Train in person on Nicholson Court, starting with a one-hour introductory class.
Our traditional Kung Fu program teaches the complete Southern Shaolin Hung Fut system: handset forms, weapons forms, conditioning, and self-defense drawn from the Ten Animal Styles. Hung Fut was founded in the early eighteenth century by Wun Lei, born Lee Jo Fuen, who synthesised the Buddha Palm he created with the Hung Family boxing he learned from Hung Hei Gwaan. Students train at their own pace in that lineage, building strength, discipline and real technique.
