From the Previous Site
A record of every page on the school's previous website and where each one now lives, so that nothing from it is lost in the move.
Every page found on the previous site is listed here with its old address and its new home. Two pages had no equivalent elsewhere on this site, so they are preserved in full further down. Anything still marked as needing the original is tracked here rather than quietly dropped.

Five of the twelve rules were recoverable, at their own numbers. The other seven are not published anywhere: the search was widened to other Hung Fut schools and none of them carries this list. Only the school has them.

A Las Vegas instructor, Don Niam, of Summerlin, Nevada and Akron, Ohio. Not the Kensington school, so nothing was copied across. Confirm whether this belongs to the school before it is carried over or retired.

Paying homage to our legacy website
The school dedicated a space on its site in honour of the original Hung Fut Kung Fu School website, which carried its message, its knowledge and the timeless wisdom of Hung Fut Kung Fu forward to future generations of students.
Founded by 8th Generation Grandmaster Sifu Tai Yim over forty years ago, with respect, tradition, dedication and legacy at the forefront of his teaching. The school has grown and developed over time while staying true to its foundational ideas, carrying the wisdom of the Hung Fut Grandmasters into modern times.
What students said there
Recorded in summary. The wording on the original page could not be read directly from here, and inventing a quotation to attribute to a student would be worse than setting down what each one said.
- A student of more than thirty years, whose twin sons now attend the school as well.
- A student who describes the experience as transformational, having come in stressed and dissatisfied, and says Tai Yim Kung Fu taught them to know themselves.
- Praise for the classmates: students from young to old described as polite, considerate, hard-working and positive, making a good environment in which to learn authentic traditional Shaolin Hung Fut.
- Praise for the instructors: described as among the kindest, most patient and often the most humorous martial arts practitioners.
- On the lineage: Grandmaster Tai Yim's legacy described as truly authentic, as the Eighth Generation Grandmaster of the Shaolin Hung Fut system.
COVID-19 protocol
Lifted 2 June 2021 — historical record
During the pandemic the school published a protocol for in-person classes. It was lifted on 2 June 2021 and all in-person classes resumed on the regular schedule without distancing restrictions. It is kept here so the record of that period is not lost.
- Masks were not to be removed without the instructor's permission, and then only in a remote area that could be easily sanitised.
- The number of students permitted at any scheduled class was restricted, to comply with local, State and Federal safety regulations.
- All students had to pre-register for classes 48 hours in advance, by phone, by email or through the online booking system.
- The most commonly used parts of the school were cleaned between classes, with a more extensive clean at the end of each day.
- Conversation during class and in the building was minimised, and no physical contact of any sort was permitted.
- Sparring drills that brought people closer than six feet together could not be performed.
Start with a one-hour intro class
Every new student begins with a one-hour introductory class, and every enrollment includes free access to a fully equipped fitness gym.
