Traditional Kung Fu in Garrett Park

Traditional Kung Fu for Garrett Park residents, about 1 mile away from our school in Kensington.

The program

Looking for traditional kung fu in Garrett Park? Shaolin Hung Fut Kung Fu School teaches traditional kung fu to Garrett Park students of every age, about 1 mile away in Kensington — an easy trip from Garrett Park MARC station and Strathmore Avenue. Train in person on Nicholson Court, starting with a one-hour introductory class.

Our traditional Kung Fu program teaches the complete Southern Shaolin Hung Fut system: handset forms, weapons forms, conditioning, and self-defense drawn from the Ten Animal Styles. Hung Fut was founded in the early eighteenth century by Wun Lei, born Lee Jo Fuen, who synthesised the Buddha Palm he created with the Hung Family boxing he learned from Hung Hei Gwaan. Students train at their own pace in that lineage, building strength, discipline and real technique.
