Looking for traditional kung fu in North Bethesda? Shaolin Hung Fut Kung Fu School teaches traditional kung fu to North Bethesda students of every age, about 1 mile away in Kensington — an easy trip from Pike & Rose and North Bethesda Metro (Red Line). Train in person on Nicholson Court, starting with a one-hour introductory class.
Our traditional Kung Fu program teaches the complete Southern Shaolin Hung Fut system: handset forms, weapons forms, conditioning, and self-defense drawn from the Ten Animal Styles. Hung Fut was founded in the early eighteenth century by Wun Lei, born Lee Jo Fuen, who synthesised the Buddha Palm he created with the Hung Family boxing he learned from Hung Hei Gwaan. Students train at their own pace in that lineage, building strength, discipline and real technique.
