Niam has been teaching children Kung Fu since the opening of his first Kung Fu School in 1978. Sifu Niam does not teach like many Karate or Tae Kwon Do instructors where kids spend half their class bowing. His style of teaching is a method to let children progress at their own pace. He teaches through praise and positive motivation. He has found that it is senseless to scare children and at such a young age he does not want them learning and progressing through fear. Sifu Niam’s methods are through self respect and respect of the teacher and classmates to work together and feel part of a unity and support system.
Sifu Niam’s years of training were taught as a brotherhood and part of a strong organization of Martial Artists which gave him and others who did not want to participate in sports at school a very unique and respected form of art and physical ability that very few people have.
